Join Out in the Open for an ongoing, monthly drop in space for LGBTQ+ adults (ages 18+) to receive prompts for poetry, prose, or journaling, to learn about writing as a political response tool, and to cultivate LGBTQ+ centered writing community.
Topics and tools that may be covered include writing to incarcerated folks, letters to the editor, legislative testimony, as creative process & practice through writing off line as writing stories of resilience and resistance to fascism and surveillance etc. Participants are welcome to engage in the tools offered or to work on personal writing and related projects in community.
This group will typically be held the 2nd Monday of each month from 5:30pm - 8pm with the exception of Monday October 5 being the first Monday. Facilitated by Out in the Open staff and occasional guests. Learn more at www.WeAreOutintheOpen.org
